Bursaries and Awards

The SU-CUGH Global Health Conference is pleased to collaborate with partners in offering bursary opportunities and awards for presenters and attendees. The Conference Secretariat welcomes you to apply for available bursary opportunities and awards below. This list will be updated as additional bursaries and awards become available.

Annals of Global Health Special Collection Award

The Annals of Global Health has offered an opportunity for successful abstract applicants to be considered for publication in a Special Collection. All successful applicants submitting to the conference will be considered for this award, and receive further submission guidelines in due course.

Guidelines for Submitting a Request for Support to Attend SU-CUGH 2022

A limited number of partial bursaries are available to assist African (defined as an African citizen based at African institution/organisation) participants to attend the SU-CUGH Global Health Conference 2022.  Funding is available for 1) registration, 2) registration and accommodation; and, potentially, 3) registration, accommodation and assistance with airfare (up to 50%) – economy class only.  Funding will be allocated based on need and merit, in addition to having representatives from across the continent and across health professionals and gender equality.

As we seek to maximise participation in the conference, the vast majority of support will be 1) registration and 2) registration and accommodation.  Only in exceptional circumstances will support for airfare be provided and it will be partial (maximum of up to 50% of total airfare).
